What Does the Mass Save HEAT Loan Offer?

  • Zero Interest Financing: Benefit from interest-free financing opportunities up to $25,000 for the installation of air source and ground source heat pumps.

  • Expert Guidance: Dial 866-527-SAVE (7283) for insights on available programs, incentives, and financing options tailored to enhance your home’s efficiency. A site visit might be scheduled to identify eligible energy efficiency improvements for the HEAT Loan.

How to Secure Your HEAT Loan

  1. Confirm Your Eligibility: Check the “Eligibility” tab on Mass Save’s website to be sure that your project qualifies for the loan.

  2. Select a Contractor: Obtain a signed proposal from your preferred contractor on their official letterhead. We Affordable Heating & AC LLC are proud to be approved members of the Mass Save Heat Pump Installer network.

  3. Submit Your Application: Use the tool on Mass Save’s website to start your loan application. Attach your signed contractor proposal and any other necessary documents. If your project aligns with the program’s criteria, you’ll receive an Authorization Form.

  4. Finalize Your Loan: Present your completed Authorization Form to your chosen participating lender. Upon approval, the lender will issue a two-party check payable to both you and your contractor. You may view a comprehensive list of lenders offering loans up to $25,000 on Mass Save’s website.

  5. Complete Your Upgrade: To settle your contractor’s bill, simply endorse the bank check.

  6. Claim Your Rebate: Explore masssave.com/savings to apply for any applicable rebates.

  7. Finish Your Verification Inspection: Contact 866-527-SAVE to learn about this mandatory verification process.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The HEAT Loan is exclusively for qualified participants of the Mass Save Program.
  • Only homeowners can apply for the loan.
  • Applicants must have an active residential electric or gas account.
  • Municipal electric customers can avail the HEAT Loan if their home utilizes natural gas from a Mass Save Program Sponsor.
  • The loan covers only those energy-efficient enhancements specified in the HEAT Loan packet.
  • Loan approval is subject to the discretion of a participating lender.
